Which Neuro for brain injury?

I am a parent to a 12 year old son who suffered hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy during his birth. He is very high functioning but has significant learning disabilities, memory issues, and autism. After reading The Brain's Way of Healing, we are very interested in purchasing a Neuro to try at home with him. His most recent MRI (at age 10) showed a lesion in the right frontal subcortical-cortical region of his brain, as well as right medial hippocampal atrophy "compatible with right medial temporal sclerosis." Short term memory, language tasks, executive functioning, and emotional regulation are all areas of weakness.

We are wondering if the Neuro Alpha or Gamma would have more potential therapeutic value for him?

    Thank you!

    Hi Jessica,

The 10 Hz pulse rate with the Neuro Alpha is correlated closely with alpha brainwaves in neurofeedback, which has a calming effect and may help with learning and memory.

The 10 Hz pulse rate has a longer legacy in regards to being used for photobiomodulation (see : https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22028832).
