Infrared light therapy is a form of of photobiomodulation. The benefits of this therapy, as well as of near infrared light therapy are undergoing extensive studies. Our content in this category will focus on therapeutic effects associated with these light therapies. Although evidence-based data will take precedence, some anecdotal evidence will be a part of the discussion.
Neuroimaging modalities like fMRI have begun to uncover the brain areas that are dysfunctional in disorders like depression.
